Experts on Bulimia: When is it life threatening?

I have been throwing up for almost a year now and have started to notice blood in my vomit. I was wondering at what point bulimia and throwing up becomes life threatening--and I don't want to hear that it is life threatening fron the moment I start... I honestly want to know that if I continue when I will actually have put my life in jeapordy.
